The Cozy Roost

Welcome to my life… my cozy roost.  Well, at least it’s cozy to me! 

Okay, I’m not a professional writer.  So… you will probably find typos, grammatical errors, writing faux paus, etc.  I’m just a mom, a wife, with a full-time job, trying to make sense of my crazy hectic days.  Our family lives on 13 acres out in the middle of nowhere.  It’s not uncommon to look out the window and see deer grazing in the yard or perhaps a black bear wandering down the driveway… seriously. Living out in the country has been a huge change… but I see so many opportunities that we didn’t have living in town.  I would love to have goats, chickens, horses, and perhaps some rabbits (I LOVE animals).  I’m still trying to convince my husband on the goat part.  He’s not there yet.   

I love to organize, yet I feel totally disorganized (or is it unorganized?).  I love spending time with my wonderful husband, my beautiful daughter, and my baby dogs, gardening (still trying to figure this one out), decorating my home, watching movies, flipping through magazines, rainy days and the sound of thunder, pizza, mexican food, iced tea, photography, hiking, four-wheeling, and just relaxing at home and being with the people I love. 

What I dislike… fake hugs, fake nails, high heels, big crowds, wallpaper, cigarette smoke, spiders, sad endings, being late, leftovers, seafood, people that drive too slow… I’m sure there’s more.  We’ll leave it at that for now.

So that’s me!  This site is about my search for simplicity and sanity!  I plan on documenting my journey along the way.  I may need your help.
